Shikar Dhawan makes a new record !

 Delhi Capitals opening batsmen Shikhar Dhawan also known as 'Gabbar' creates a new record in the History of IPL The Incredible Premier League after hitting two consecutive centuries against CSK (Chennai Super Kings) and KXIP (King XI Punjab) and that to being Unbeaten. However, the team could not turn the match into their favor against Kings XI Punjab but the contribution still helped the team and they stand on the top of the points table. Dhawan also becomes the fifth batsmen to cross 5000 runs in IPL. He is the fourth Indian Cricketer to do so after Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. and till now David Warner is the only overseas player to reach the mark. What a Super Sunday 3 Super Overs!

This is the Incredible Premier League where records keep on breaking. The Dream11 IPL 2020 Edition has witnessed 3 Super Overs on super Sunday 18th October 2020 an event which took place for the first time in the history of IPL and that is the reason why it is called The Incredible Premier League.

Sunday is the day of double header means tow matches are to be played on Sunday. The result of Both the matches KKR v/s SRH (Kolkata knight riders v/s Sunrisers Hyderabad) and MI v/s KXIP (Mumbai Indians v/s Kings XI Punjab) was decided in their respective super overs. Prior to this day there was no day in the history of IPL that witnessed more than one super over.


Here is how the matches reached the super over 

Match 1 -: KKR v/s SRH

The match was played at Sheikh Zayed Cricket stadium Abu Dhabi. Chasing a 164 run target SRH needed 18 runs in the last over to win the match Captain warner took the command and took the match to the Super over. KKR choose Lockie Ferguson who was playing his first match of the Dream11 IPL edition 2020 and has been leading wicket taker in the inning and he did not disappoint the team by giving only 3 runs an taking 2 wickets.

Chasing the 3 run target in the super over the KKR captain Eoin Morgan and Wicket keeper Dinesh Karthik sealed the chase easily.

Match 2 -: MI v/s KXIP

The match was played at Dubai international cricket stadium. Chasing a 177 run target against MI, KXIP skipper Kl Rahul again the captain of KXIP played a stunning inning of 77 runs but could not make it team-mates Deepak Hooda and Jordan could only level the score and take it to super over.

Jasprit Bumrah bowled the Super over by taking 2 wickets and giving 6 runs target. However on the other hand Mohammed Shami bowled an incredible over bowling 6 Yorkers defended those 5 runs and took the to second super over. In the Second Super over the vice captain of MI Kieron pollard helped MI to score 11 runs the there comes the Universe boss Christopher Henry Gayle contributing to win the game by hitting a six on the first bowl on the other end Mayank Agarwal closes the game by hitting a four and keeping their IPL play off hope alive.
